I Just Keep Telling Myself

So a couple of transwomen got turned away from a Dianic ritual at PantheaCon. Head on over to the Wild Hunt Blog to find out more. It seems Z. Budapest made a comment on the incident (which she was not at) here’s the quote:

“This struggle has been going since the Women’s Mysteries first appeared. These individuals selfishly never think about the following: if women allow men to be incorporated into Dianic Mysteries,What will women own on their own? Nothing! Again! Transies who attack us only care about themselves. We women need our own culture, our own resourcing, our own traditions. You can tell these are men, They don’t care if women loose the Only tradition reclaimed after much research and practice ,the Dianic Tradition. Men simply want in. its their will. How dare us women not let them in and give away the ONLY spiritual home we have! Men want to worship the Goddess? Why not put in the WORK and create your own trads. The order of ATTIS for example,(dormant since the 4rth century) used to be for trans gendered people, also the castrata, men who castrated themselves to be more like the Goddess. Why are we the ONLY tradition… Continue reading

Valentine’s Day Link Love

While Bren and I go to a book sale and drink some wine for Valentine’s Day (and pretend we don’t have a podcast episode waiting to be finished) here is a list of awesome articles and blog posts worthy of being read:

Hellhound on My Trail

Celtic and European legends are filled with the sounds of the Wild Hunt, the hounds traveling across the night sky: Arawn, Celtic god of the underworld, has a pack of white hounds with blood-red ears; Lugh has a magical hound, as does the family of Harelquin, the Oskerei, Gandreidh, and Herne and his brutal band of wild men. Sometimes it’s called the “Furious Host.”

Waiting Underground

by patti smith, oliver ray

*

if you believe all your hope is gone

down the drain of your humankind

the time has arrived

you’ll be waiting here as I was

in a snow-white shroud

waiting underground

there by the ridge be a gathering beneath the pilgrim moon

where we shall await the beat of your feet hammering the earth

where the great ones tremble

in their snow-white shrouds

waiting underground

if you seek the kingdom come, come along

waiting by the ridge there’ll be a gathering

beneath the pilgrim moon

where the railroad thunders

oh where we shall await the beat of your feet hammering the earth

and as the earth resounds where the great ones tremble

and your humankind becomes as one

and then we will arise

in our snow-white shrouds

when we’ll be as one

but until that day we will just await

in our snow-white shrouds

waiting underground

in our snow-white shrouds

waiting underground
