The Domestic Witch Blog Award
I received this award from the Hedgewitch Hollow, a blog I enjoy myself very much.
How wonderful, thank you!
With this award, I am to:
Include the award in my blog post.
~ Link the nominees within my post.
~ Don’t forget to mention the person who gave you the award.
~ Let my chosen winners know that they received The Domestic Witch Blog Award by commenting on their blog.
This is a terrific idea and I am happy to award the following blogs:
The Witch of the Forest Grove blog.
“I’m a folk magic practitioner with a focus in Scottish witchcraft and folk magic. As I live in the new world I also incorporate American folk magic traditions into my practice, those of conjure, rootwork, hoodoo, and shamanism. I have a strong love for folklore, history, and anthropology. I am a librarian, a writer, a gardener, a mead maker, a charm maker, a healer, a diviner, a wife, and the owner of three mischievous black cats. I live in Forest Grove, in the rainforest that is South Western British Columbia.”

The forum is back!
The forum is back!
I restored from a backup saved on my computer, so we traveled back in time a little over a week.
Sorry for any posts made in the last week, they will have to be re-posted.
Members who joined in the last week will have to re-join. Once again sorry about that.
I will get the Hearth Craft Class caught up in the next day or so, as well as fix the themes, avatars and smilies.
We are now running a proper and current version of SMF, so all should run smoothly now.
Thank you for your patience.

Forum News
We are having some issues with the forum right now.
I am attempting to have it fixed, hopefully it will be up soon.
I have a backup of the forum stored of my hard drive, hopefully we can have it restored. Which means we will only lose a couple of days worth of postings.
If I continue to have these problems with this program and its not-so-great support staff, I may have to start the forum again using a new program, as this is the second time the forum has had this problem with this program.
The joys of using free programs is the lack of support when their program screws up.
I hope to have it fixed soon, will keep you updated. I am very sorry for the trouble folks!

A Rant – Blog Readers
“You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts; they alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.”
– The Doctor, “Dr. Who: The Face of Evil (1977)
A real witch does this; a real witch doesn’t do that. A true pagan would say this, but not write that … etc etc etc
I am amazed that people feel they can judge whether or not I am a “real” pagan and witch based on reading a few blog entries. I mean you must be a real knowledgeable Elder to be able to make such a judgement based on an online journal!
How does one become qualified to make such judgments, I’d really love to know?
Just for the record, that was a rhetorical question, so please spare me the long emails listing how many years you have practised, which books you have read or who your teachers were, I won’t be impressed anyways.
Just I case anyone reading this does not understand just what a blog is, here is a definition… Continue reading
OBOD
Well, I joined OBOD the other day. That would be the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. http://www.druidry.org/
Tad (*waves*) and some friends are taking their new, and interesting, audio course for Bardic grade. We start on Sunday, but I already listened to the first bit we had mailed us lol. I just wanted to make sure I got my money’s worth. I look forward to this as a nice project, especially for winter.
I like the audio idea a lot. Druidry was originally taught as an oral tradition. I’d like to play this on a CD player in one of my groves. There’s a couple of nice little groves, and a few potential ones as well. I also have many other plans *rubs hands* but that is for another blog. The OBOD have a cool grove project (see their website) I may just have to register one of mine.
I have other more witch-y projects planed as well hehe
