It seems that drivers are becoming worse by the day. In some areas, when there's an emergency on a highway, the firefighters will block the road completely--not with cones, but with their fire engines. Even if the incident is on the shoulder. Using cones, or blocking all but one lane with the engines, doesn't slow down the idiots who are in a hurry, and some departments have had one too many close calls. Thanks for posting this. It's a brutal job at times, and thank goodness we have people like them to do it.
