What a moving story! If anyone is found running a puppy mill, they should be fined and jailed instead of a slap on the wrist. Our laws are too lenient. They should be harsh enough that no one ever runs anything like that again!

That we should all learn how to give love like that. My eyes are wet and I want to seek out and tear down these puppy mills. So well written, such a beautiful part of your life to share with us. A fitting eulogy to a life that should never have been so brutal.

Thank you so much for this post, and for giving Maia at least those 60 days, and being with her so soulfully when she passed.

This was powerful writing. I feel so sad and outraged, but also hopeful for the fact that when people know, they usually care and change. So glad you took the time to put out this information.

Who are these a**holes who can treat sentient beings this way? Breaks my heart.
