Last Night

I had something cool happen last night
I’ve been working on writing about my treks at night. It’s a ¾ km walk downhill the mountain to moms. 1/2 km as the crow flies, but its down, around, down, around, up around. I have a lot to share about the long walks in the dark, in the woods, on the mountain. But I have been storing it up, working it out.

However, last night something happened, and before I have the time to fully over analyze it, I wanted to share it was rather fresh and raw.
Here it is.

Mom’s collie Athena started having her pups. So I grabbed my bag and my sled and started heading down the hill
Now, as a way to earn the trust of various spirits or what have you on my new land, I figured I’d give them my trust. So I’ve been doing lots of walking back and forth around the property without any light. I also wanted to show that I won’t be intrusive, or as little as I can.
But the moon was not out last night as it was cloudy. And I was in a hurry to help mom. So… Continue reading

I want to watch the world burn

I want to watch the world burn
I want to see society crumble

I dream a dream
Of standing on rooftops
And watching our Rome burn
With Nero and his harp

I want to watch Hollywood die
I want to see fashion fall
I dream of super models
Begging for the bread
They rejected the day before
Because they were on a diet

I want to see the economy fail
I want the rich bitches
Of the world to go hungry
I want them learn
The meaning of poverty

I want the world to learn money
Doesn’t grow on trees
I want the world to learn
Food grows on trees

I want to watch the world burn
From the safety of my green farm

I dream of the bastards
Who thought I wasn’t good enough
For their fancy communities
To come to my door with their hands out

I want the oil tycoons to choke
On the fumes they gave us
And the pill pushing doctors
To really see
What junkies they’ve made us

I want the intellectuals to learn
They aren’t so smart
When they can’t push a plow
Or tell a good berry
From a poison berry

I… Continue reading

An Email I Sent to a Couple of Elders Moving into My Area

Hi there. I am happy to have you guys moving into the area. I know there is a fair amount of excitement, even as far as Kelowna about your move into the area. The rumor mill is always hard at work is it not?

I have looked at the website and it seems you guys are respectable pagans. So why the heck are you emailing ME?

I’m afraid I am not active in the pagan community really at all, not for a while. I have some web presence if that counts.

I am a messy little hedgewitch who is completely disreputable and un-respectable. I wear socks that don’t match, care nothing for initiations, am not impressed by titles or lineage and have been known to blurt out things that would make Crowley blush.

No HP worth her salt would be caught dead associating with the likes of me. I have been known to show up just as a HP has finished some speech on how Pagans are regular folk, and completely blow that argument out of the water by my mere presence. I am not “normal” in any sense of the word.

If I could get both feet on this… Continue reading
