Swimming
Sailing down the river Euphrates
A black cat purrs in lap
In a little long boat
Made of hide and skin
Hanging from the world tree
The view is very different
Upside down and one eyed
Ravens watch from the branches
Standing on a rickety raft
Crossing a river named Styx
Two copper coins
And a dog cookie in hand
Walking along a crooked path
Thorny hedge to border it
A stag steps out into the lane
Leads to a different way
Swimming lazily through
A parted Red Sea
Desert sand burning hot
In almost every crevice
What is a Hedgewitch? And Where Can I Find More Information?
- Start by reading Juniper’s article “What is a Hedgewitch?”
- And the older version of it called “What the Heck is a Hedgewitch Anyways?” on Witchvox or here at Mysticwicks Magazine
- As well as The History of “hedgewitch” by Juniper
- “Hallmarks of a Hedgewitch” by Juniper
- And “Hags and Hedges” by Juniper
- “Hedge Witchery” by Sarah
- “The Hedgewitch (Hagwychia variegata)” by Louise P.

That should get you started, happy reading!

My mind is a messy closet
My mind is a messy closet
A big walk-in messy closet
It has many shelves and compartments
There are lots of drawers
You cannot see the floor
The drawers’ overflow with things
The shelves are overrun
The compartments are disorganized
Some parts you cannot reach
With out wading through the mess
Some parts cannot be seen at all
They are half forgotten
There are things in my closet I miss very much
But I cannot find them
There are things in my closet
That I know must be in there
But I have never seen them
There are wonderful things in my closet
Buried underneath all this crap
Some days I look into my closet
And like a shining beam of light
I know exactly where something is
Some days I cannot find a thing
Some days I can start to clean my closet
Then a day comes where I make a mess again
And sometimes I hide in my messy closet
And sometimes I open the door
And let the light shine in
Sometimes I am ashamed to show
My messy closet it to anyone
Lest they shy away or make fun of me
Sometimes I just might
Let someone take a peek
A few times people have smiled and said
“What a beautiful mess”
I loved those people with all my heart
For as long as they were willing to let me
So far, so yet
No one has chosen to let me
For a long time, as long as I would like
It hurts to show your closet and be rejected
Especially after they said it was beautiful
I love my messy closet
I hope someday someone else will to
And I will try
To love their closet too
I lay in my messy closet
I play with the things I find there
I love my messy closet
It would be nice if I could find
A map to my messy closet
But it’s mine all mine
And not much else is truly my own
So I love my messy closet
The forum is back!
The forum is back!
I restored from a backup saved on my computer, so we traveled back in time a little over a week.
Sorry for any posts made in the last week, they will have to be re-posted.
Members who joined in the last week will have to re-join. Once again sorry about that.
I will get the Hearth Craft Class caught up in the next day or so, as well as fix the themes, avatars and smilies.
We are now running a proper and current version of SMF, so all should run smoothly now.
Thank you for your patience.

Some things about me
What I am reading right now:
Tree of Enchantment: Ancient Wisdom and Magic Practices of the Faery Tradition by Orion Foxwood
My current arts & crafts project:
I am crocheting a rather hippy-ish poncho thingy, in pink, purple and grey. It is about halfway done and looks like a mad woman is making it. Maybe so…
Something I just don’t get:
Giving gifts to grown ups
What’s keeping me busy right now:
Puppies!!
Fixing my forum
What I am watching right now:
Lost and Battlestar Galactica
What I am listening to right now:
Alan Watts lectures
The Unnamed Path podcasts
One of many dreams:
I dream of being one of those people who has the big piece of land filled with zany sculptures, random shrines, interesting gardens and bizarre folk art peeking out at you from the trees and shrubs. I have my land now. Time to get started.
Forum News
We are having some issues with the forum right now.
I am attempting to have it fixed, hopefully it will be up soon.
I have a backup of the forum stored of my hard drive, hopefully we can have it restored. Which means we will only lose a couple of days worth of postings.
If I continue to have these problems with this program and its not-so-great support staff, I may have to start the forum again using a new program, as this is the second time the forum has had this problem with this program.
The joys of using free programs is the lack of support when their program screws up.
I hope to have it fixed soon, will keep you updated. I am very sorry for the trouble folks!
